AT&T has developed updates and new offerings to support the First Responder Network Authority’s emergency response operations.
Stacy Schwartz, vice president for AT&T's public safety and FirstNet division, wrote in a post published Thursday that the company has been working on new tools that can help users “take advantage of the specialized FirstNet experience.â€
AT&T developed the FirstNet Single Sign-On tool, which simplifies authentication processes for first responders who need quick access to interfaces during a critical event.
The company is also making further updates to the Satellite Cell on Light Trucks system, which is a part of 72 deployable network capabilities that provide 24/7 connectivity and encrypted communications to subscribers.
Other developments include the FirstNet Assist mobile customer service platform for lower-priority operations and public safety support, and updates to the Local Control Portal’s Network Status Map to cover data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

In addition, developers can take advantage of AT&T's new FirstNet Single Sign-On software development kit and FirstNet App Priority application programming interface to build on existing platforms and interfaces.

Over 90 devices are currently certified to operate on FirstNet’s network, with more than 50 mobile apps included in the FirstNet App Catalog.
