NASA has appointed William Vantine, president and CEO of Systems Planning and Analysis, to serve on the agency's International Space Station Advisory Committee for another one-year term.
He will join other panel members in meetings with the Russia-based Roscosmos Advisory Expert Council to tackle ISS spaceflight matters, SPA said Thursday.
The advisory committee, led by Retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. Thomas P. Stafford, recommends strategies for NASA to manage the orbiting laboratory and help the agency study how the station can further support space exploration efforts.
"The work we are doing on the International Space Station is key to learning how to live and work in space and to our nation's further development of innovative technologies,"Â Vantine said.
