Incubit Technology Ventures, a subsidiary of Elbit Systems Group, announced that Oren Gabot was CEOÂ on Thursday.
“This year, as we enter Incubit’s seventh franchise year, we will place special emphasis on increasing the financial value of the portfolio companies,†Gadot said. “Incubit signed a strategic cooperation agreement with a number of entities, including the investment bank Cukierman.â€
He will succeed Ran Bar-Sella, who founded Incubit and served as CEO for six years. After stepping down as CEO, Bar-Sella was appointed vice president of Innovation at Elbit and joins the board of directors for Incubit.
Gadot served as CEO of PrintXray Medical Vision from November 2016 to August 2018 and at HelioFocus from January 2010 to October 2016. Prior to holding those positions, Gadot served Appiled Materials for over seven years in a range of leadership roles.
He is a graduate of the HBS School of Finance program. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in electro-optics from Ben-Gurion University.
Elbit Systems Group is establishing Incubit and the Technological Incubator in Be’er Sheva, in cooperation with the Authority for Innovation and Strategy.
“In addition to financial and operational investment, dozens of entrepreneurs are currently working in the company’s compound in Be’er Sheva,†Gadot said. “About 46 percent of the entrepreneurs in the portfolio companies live in the south, and more than 50 percent are graduates of academic institutions in the south, such as Ben-Gurion University.â€
