Advisory firm Lone Star Analysis has received an award from the Department of Defense's Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve program in recognition of the company's support for reservist employees.
ESGR recognized the company with the Pro Patria Award for business practices that help reservist employees still fulfill duties with the U.S. National Guard and reserve forces, Lone Star said Tuesday.
Military veterans and reservists accounted for 17 percent of Lone Star's workforce as of 2018. Weston Woerner, an active duty helicopter pilot and Lone Star employee, nominated the firm for the recognition.
The company previously received the Above and Beyond Award, a requirement for firms to become eligible for the Pro Patria Award.
“Our community is full of citizen soldiers who are always ready to answer the call and we’re honored to support and employ people like them," said Steve Roemerman, CEO at Lone Star Analysis.
