Kiewit Infrastructure West has won a potential $64.9M contract with the U.S. Navy to replace old sewer systems at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii.
The company will build and install a pump station and a gravity sewer line needed to accommodate a projected increase in wastewater flows that may arise from upcoming shore activities as well as manage peak wet-weather flows, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
Naval Facilities Engineering Command received five proposals for the project and obligated the contract's full amount at the time of award using fiscal 2017 construction funds.
Honolulu-based Kiewit will perform work through June 2021.
