Keeper Technology has partnered with a subsidiary of Seagate Technology to build and offer a new software-defined storage tool to government and commercial customers.
Keeper said Wednesday it worked with Seagate Government Solutions to develop a new high-performance, multi-petabyte and secure storage designed to help customers manage data from physical, virtual and cloud resources.
The SDS platform combines Keeper's keeperSAFE turnkey Ceph-based appliance with Seagate's Common Criteria, BAA/TAA-compliant FIPS 140-2 disk drives and enclosures.
The tool meets NIST 800-88 and FIPS 140-2 requirements for protecting sensitive information, Keeper said.
Mike Moritzkat, CEO and managing director of Seagate Government Solutions, said the partnership leveraged the deep expertise of both companies to provide a “unified, secure, turnkey solution that ensures compliance with increasingly stringent data and security regulations."
The collaboration is part of Keeper’s ongoing efforts to expand its portfolio and ability to create scalable and resilient software tools for federal and commercial markets, according to Dave Donald, founder and president of Keeper Technology.
Keeper and Seagate will introduce the storage platform at the NAB trade show in Las Vegas from April 6 to 9.
