NASA has recognized KBR's government services unit for various efforts to support small businesses via prime contracts and mentor-protege programs.
The space agency named KBRwyle the "Large Business Prime Contractor of the Year" at Johnson Space Center and Goddard Space Flight Center, with additional recognition for mentor-protege contributions at Ames Research Center, KBR said Thursday.
These recognitions cite the firm's contract performance, small business support practices and outreach activities.
KBRwyle led prime contracts for on-orbit spacecraft, spaceflight operations and solar system investigations in multiple scientific areas.
As a mentor with Ames Research Center, KBRwyle trained and guided subcontractor MORI Associates on multiple business practices.
