Jacobs Engineering Group has received a potential five-year, $75.8M contract to provide a unit-level software toolset for the U.S. Air Force to manage operational tasks and monitor readiness status in real time.
The company said Tuesday it will continue to help the military branch maintain the Patriot Excalibur platform and provide engineering, training and field implementation support services under the contract.
PEX is designed to facilitate timing and tracking of multidomain operations, special missions and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance activities across USAF commands and joint service partners.
Jennifer Richmond, senior vice president for technology and nuclear at Jacobs, said the company invests in innovation efforts focused onÂ
artificial intelligence, predictive analytics and automated design.
Contract work will occur at more than 30 USAF sites.
Jacobs has supported PEX system over the past two decades.
