iGov Wins Marine Handheld Tech Supply Contract - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Reston, Va.-based information technology company iGov Technologies has won a potential five-year, $48M contract from the U.S. Marine Corps to provide common handheld hardware and services to the military branch's air ground task force.

Marine Corps Systems Command received two offers for the firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract via a competitive procurement on the FedBizOpps website, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

The military service will obligate $4.4M in fiscal 2019 research, development, test, and evaluation funds on the initial delivery order.

Contract work will take place in Tampa, Fla., and is scheduled to conclude by February 2024.

The MCH system is designed to help Marines acquire targets and manage close air support, artillery and naval surface fire support missions, according to a FedBizOpps summary. The technology will also work to transmit data to the service branch's commanders, leaders and C2 nodes via digital communications devices.
