Hensel Phelps Construction has won a potential $59.4M contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to provide design-bid-build services for a planned Advanced Munitions Technology complex at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.
USACE received four bids for the firm-fixed-price contract via an online-based solicitation and obligated the full contract amount at the time of award, the Department of Defense said Friday.
The company will support construction of eight research and development facilities to accommodate projects related to nano energetic and explosive systems, as well as prototyping, integration and fielding of munition technologies.
DoD expects the contract work to be complete by Aug. 11, 2021.
