NCAA March Madness is one of the most anticipated sporting events each year. The spectacle of seeing the best teams and the best players in the U.S compete for one of the top prizes in sports generates excitement. Just like March Madness, you can participate in the GovCon competition yourself. This year, the competition to win the top spot in the Wash100 voting is reaching a fever pitch.

There have been a few surprises so far, and Raytheon is posting some impressive numbers during the past week. David Wajsgras, Tom Kennedy and John Harris have all made huge strides and received the most votes from the GovCon community. Wajsgras received 163 votes, enough to put him in second place behind leader Mac Curtis of Perspecta and within striking distance of the top spot. Wajsgras only needs 40 more votes to surpass Curtis.

Other notable vote getters were Tiffanny Gates of Novetta, who emerged as a sleeper pick and is currently ranked fifth overall. AT&T’s Jill Singer and Xavier Williams appear in the top 10, checking in at third and sixth place, respectively.

Tony Moraco and Nazzic Keene of SAIC continue to hold steady in the rankings at fourth and seventh, respectively, for another week. Amazon’s Teresa Carlson remains in the spotlight in eighth place, and Marillyn Hewson of Lockheed Martin, Gwynne Shotwell of SpaceX and Michael Corkery of Deltek, are knocking on the door of the top 10 before next week’s voting.

With almost a month left before the polls close, nearly 10,000 votes have been cast by the GovCon community. Next week, we’ll know which GovCon executives made it to the Sweet Sixteen. For now, here are the top 16 vote getters in the Wash100 rankings:
