David Mihelcic, a former chif technology officer at the Defense Information Systems Agency, has joined the advisory board of securit validation technology firm AttackIQ.
The 18-year DISA veteran will provide insight to support strategy execution efforts of AttackIQ’s federal business unit, the company said Thursday.
At DISA, Mihelcic led the development and implementation of cybersecurity, computing and communication systems for the Department of Defense. He served as the agency's senior representative on engineering-related discussions with military, intelligence and commercial organizations.
He also worked as federal chief technology and strategy officer of Juniper Networks, where played a role in the design and sale of networking platforms for the government sector. He spent 14 years at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory as an information assurance engineer and section head.
San Diego-based AttackIQ developed a technology platform designed to help organizations test the performance of security personnel and controls.
