Excella has received a potential $49.5M contract to help a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service's Fraud Detection and National Security Directorate implement analytic tools to identify immigration-related fraudulent activity.

Contract work includes the use of data analytics, agile and DevSecOps approaches to support the three-year Risk and Fraud Analytics and Development, Security and Operations program, the company said Tuesday.

A team of Excella professionals will employ machine learning algorithms and natural language processing processes as well as a big data analytics platform to analyze data for agency personnel to detect and monitor fraud.

The company has provided agile methodology-based analytic services to other government clients, including the Census Bureau and the Department of Health and Human Services.
