Elbit Systems of America will provide helmet mounted display systems to the U.S. Army under a five-year, indefinite-delivery/ indefinite-quantity contract of an undisclosed value.

The company said Tuesday it will help the the military service integrate a Common Helmet Mounted Display into a helmet display and tracker system installed on the UH-60L/M/V Black Hawk and CH-47F Chinook helicopters as part of the Air Soldier System initiative.
CHMDs are designed to help aircrews gain situational awareness during daytime or nighttime operations.
Contract work will occur in Fort Worth, Texas, and the company noted it will commence deliveries within the next 15 months.
