The Department of Homeland Security's science and technology directorate will host a three-day cybersecurity event that will kick off on March 18 in Washington, D.C.
The 2019 S&T Cybersecurity and Innovation Showcase will allow technology professionals, government and industry stakeholders to view over 130 presentations on federally funded cyber research-and-development initiatives valued at $250M combined, DHS said Monday.
The event will include demonstrations of 75 R&D programs as well as projects from startups that are part of the directorate's Silicon Valley Innovation Program.
Government officials including Kevin McAleenan, commissioner of the Customs and Border Protection; William Bryan, a DHS S&T senior official performing the duties of undersecretary; and Christopher Krebs, director of DHS'Â Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency; will speak at the event.
