Chef Reaches Security Milestones With Two Automation Platforms - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Chef has reached three security milestones for two technology platforms the company designed to help government and enterprise clients automate compliance in cloud computing environments.

The company said Wednesday its InSpec platform implemented the Defense Information Systems Agency's Secure Technical Implementation Guidelines for RHEL 7 and Windows Server 2016 operating systems.

Additionally, Chef Automate obtained Federal Information Processing Standard 140-2 compliance validation and Center for Internet Security certification for level 1 and 2 benchmarks on Amazon Web Services.

John Snow, senior software development engineer and federal content lead at Chef, said the company's products are intended to help customers accelerate their cloud migration initiatives.

“This work builds on our long history of close collaboration with government users and the organizations that support them," Snow added.
