The Customs and Border Protection is conducting market research into contractor-owned, contractor-operated manned and unmanned aircraft to support air and marine missions of the agency.
CBP said in a FedBizOpps notice posted Tuesday it looks to award a potential five-year, $250M indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to a maximum of two companies that can provide COCO aircraft and related intelligence, surveillance and reconnaisance services.
The document states that the IDIQ could include firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee and time and material requirements.
The agency may also require the contractor to conduct near-continuous ISR support in designated locations for 24 hours and five days a week, or a total of around 6K scheduled flight hours every year.
Responses to the notice are due April 12.
