Booz Allen Hamilton and Purdue University have partnered to develop methods to help the U.S. government thwart cyber attacks and address other national security challenges.
The partnership comes 14 months after the company opened an office at Purdue@WestGate in Indiana to collaborate with Purdue professors, researchers and students, the university said Thursday.
Dan DeLaurentis, a professor of aeronautics and astronautics at Purdue College of Engineering and director of the Institute for Global Security and Defense Innovation, said upcoming projects seek to leverage the expertise of both parties in areas such as microelectronics, hardware, video and data stream anomaly detection and anti-tamper system assessment.
Purdue is celebrating its 150th anniversary with a yearlong Ideas Festival, which aims to showcase the institution's health, space, artificial intelligence and sustainability initiatives.
