The U.S. Army is seeking participants for a technological demonstration in September 2020 at Fort Benning that aims to develop air, water and ground-based virtual platforms for infantry units, Military. com reported Friday.
The service branch intends to utilize artificial intelligence and robotics to boost warfighter lethality through the planned Robotic Combat Vehicle platform.
Additionally, the military service requires the platform to use AI-based systems that can accept large amounts of data from multiple sources, as well as robotic functions to hold a dismounted infantry platoon.
The Army will accept and evaluate proposals from interested vendors within the year based on cost, benefit and maturity of the submitted technologies.
