The Air Force Research Laboratory plans to release in April a broad agency announcement for the research and development of algorithm-derived decision support tools for potential use across defense and intelligence agencies.
AFRL said Friday on a FedBizOpps notice its airman systems directorate will solicit R&D proposals with the intent to demonstrate the potential of machine-generated analytic technology to accelerate data transmission and help agency users make decisions through sensemaking approaches.
The program calls for the development of software-based platforms intended to generate Intelligence Community Directive 203-compliant written products and evaluate short written products or talking points.
The government may issue up to six contracts with a total amount of $40M and looks to create an algorithm-generated President’s Daily Brief, a classified report of national security matters, through the open BAA.
Responses are due April 25.
