Accenture’s Federal Arm Plans to Expand San Antonio Operations

Accenture Federal Services plans to hire 500 new employees over the next four years to expand operations at its Advanced Technology Center in San Antonio, Texas.

The San Antonio Economic Development Foundation will support Accenture’s initiative to expand its presence in the city as part of the agency’s efforts to help companies grow, SAEDF President and CEO Jenna Saucedo-Herrera said in a press release Thursday.

Accenture Federal Services currently employs more than 1.3K workers at two locations in San Antonio. The company intends to invest $5M in the expansion program through the early 2020s.

Accenture Federal CEO John Goodman said the company continues to constantly innovate and evolve its business to offer the latest technologies and services to federal clients.

“We are excited for this new infusion of talent to join our team,” Goodman said of the expansion effort.

The San Antonio City Council has scheduled a vote for March 7 on the incentive package that would support Accenture Federal Service’s planned expansion.

“The opportunity is real for San Antonio to attract, retain and grow technology and cybersecurity hubs for major employers like Accenture Federal Services,” said San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg.

Bexar County also intends to offer another incentives package to assist the company, a plan set for review by the Commissioners Court on March 12.
