A Wells Fargo Securities report says the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals’ Outsourcing World Summit highlighted industry’s need for emerging technology, new skills and client knowledge to address digital transformation goals.

OWS 2019 gathered private sector professionals from Feb. 17 to 20 at the Marriott World Center in Orlando.

Companies are trying to embrace digital technologies and new tools such as artificial intelligence and machine learning as part of process automation initiatives, according to Wells Fargo Securities.

The event also highlighted a growing need for client knowledge services to develop platforms that could replace legacy systems.

Recruitment and retention of skilled talent remain as among the top priorities of technology vendors to support digital transformation, the report noted.
