Raytheon has received a $15M contract modification from U.S. Special Operations Command to complete the delivery of radar software for use in Air Force Special Operations Command’s CV-22 Osprey aircraft.
The modification increases the ceiling value of a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to $45M for development, engineering and field service representative support to the Silent Knight Radar Operational Flight Program, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
Work will occur at a company facility in McKinney, Texas, and is scheduled to conclude by December 2021.
SOCOM will obligate $5.4M in fiscal 2019 research, development, test and evaluation funds at the time of award.
Raytheon initially received a $9.7M contract last year to develop the OFP technology for the command’s fixed-wing aircraft platform.
