Raytheon Engages Students in STEM-Focused Challenge; Thomas Bussing Quoted - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Raytheon recently hosted a circuit board build challenge in a move to foster student interest in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math.

The challenge took place during the MathMovesU Day on Feb. 4 at the University of Arizona, where Raytheon engineers guided Tucson-based elementary students through construction and inspection of circuit boards, the company said Feb. 12.

"Having a science foundation is critical to everything you do going forward,” said Thomas Bussing, vice president of Raytheon's advanced missile systems business, who served as the event's keynote speaker.

The event is part of the firm's $125M STEM investment, and is the 14th annual iteration of MathMovesU.
