The Defense Information Systems Agency has granted PTC a one-year provisional authorization to provide software as a service for Department of Defense systems that host controlled unclassified data.
DISA said Tuesday the managed PTC Cloud Services offering is intended to support impact level 5 data users in the DoD community cloud.
The IL5 authorization allows the company to provide network infrastructure management support for the department's cloud infrastructure via out-of-band connectivity.
PTC offers product and service lifecycle management applications hosted in third-party data ceters as well as its own cloud infrastructure.
