ParkMyCloud, a cloud cost optimization platform provider, has been authorized to support Amazon Web Services’ GovCloud and other AWS commercial regions.
The automated cost reduction tool will be a standalone software-as-a-service within GovCloud supporting AWS’ U.S. West and U.S. East regions, ParkMyCloud said Tuesday.
The cloud service provider helps users reduce cloud computing costs by 65 percent and eliminate wasted cloud spend due to idle activity.
According to ParkMyCloud, it will require least-privilege access to data from cloud resources in order to meet security guidelines.
Jay Chapel, CEO of ParkMyCloud, said that GovCloud customers previously did not have a lot of options for automated cloud cost control tools.
“We’ve received a growing number of requests for this support over the past several months, and we’re happy to deliver it,†he added.
In addition to AWS, ParkMyCloud also supports Microsoft’s Azure platform, Google’s Cloud Platform and Alibaba’s Cloud.
