Northrop Grumman has won an eight-year, $20M contract to build, demonstrate and transition turbine propulsion, thermal and power technologies for the U.S. Air Force.

The company will work on the first phase of the service’s Advanced Turbine Technologies for Affordable Mission capability program, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

Work on the ATTAM indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will take place in Redondo Beach, Calif., and run through February 2027.

The Air Force Research Laboratory received 54 proposals for the IDIQ contract and will incrementally fund the first task order using the service's research, development, test and evaluation funds for fiscal years 2018 and 2019.
