Northrop Grumman has secured a two-year, $27.2M contract from the U.S. Navy to integrate, test and deliver electronic warfare management and large aircraft infrared countermeasures systems into the P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft.
The company will provide AN/AAQ-24 LAIRCM and ALQ-213 EWMS in support of lots 9 and 10 P-8A production units for the Navy as well as the U.K. and Australia under the foreign military sales program, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
Work under the fixed-price indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract will occur in Rolling Meadows, Ill., and is scheduled to conclude by February 2021.
The Naval Air Warfare Center will obligate $11.7M in fiscal 2018 Navy and FMS funds at the time of award.
