Leidos has secured a portential five-year, $33M contract to provide a digital video surveillance system in support of the U.S. Navy's efforts to modernize guided missile destroyers.
The company will also deliver supplies to the military service's shipyards, bases and contractor and repair facilities within the continental U.S. as part of the firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity supply contract, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
Work is scheduled to conclude by February 2024 and will primarily occur in Reston, Va.
The Naval Surface Warfare Center's Philadelphia Division coordinates and plans technical and engineering support services for the DDG modernization initiative. NSWC will obligate $2.9M in fiscal 2018 "other" procurement funds at the time of award.
