Raytheon has received a $25.2M contract modification to deliver Tomahawk Block IV cruise missile spares to the U.S. Navy.

The company will provide all-up-round components to support a recertification effort for the Tomahawk missile system, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

The Navy will obligate the full amount of the modification at the time of award from its fiscal 2017, 2018 and 2019 weapons procurment funds. Work is scheduled to conclude in October 2022.

Raytheon initially secured a $303.7M contract in 2016 from the military branch to supply Tomahawk Block IV missiles and spares.

The missile is designed to be launched from a ship or a submarine and to soar more than 1K miles away to engage targets while reducing the risk of collateral damage.
