ManTech International plans to build on the revenue growth and expand its portfolio with the addition of space-related contracts, the Washington Business Journal reported Friday.
"Space is definitely one of our top strategic thrusts moving forward for expansion," said Damian DiPippa, senior vice president and general manager of ManTech's mission, cyber and intelligence solutions business unit.
"Space is so tied into the rest of our infrastructure all around the world today, so that's a natural progression for what we're currently doing for our intelligence and DOD customers."
DiPippa shared his insights on a new White House directive that calls for the creation of the U.S. Space Force as the sixth military branch within the Department of the Air Force.
"There's always value in pooling the capabilities from across all of the services areas from a space perspective," he noted.
ManTech saw its fiscal 2018 revenue rise 14 percent to $1.96B and recorded $3.4B in contract awards for the year with a book-to-bill ratio of 1.8, according to the company’s financial results.
