Hexagon US Federal has secured a potential $9.8M contract to help the U.S. Air Force implement a new approach to maintain the service's fleet of RQ-4B Global Hawk unmanned aircraft systems.
The company said Wednesday its SmartMaintenanceFast program will serve as a means to transform the scheduled maintenance system for the vehicles throughout the platform life cycle.
Hexagon will work with the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center to implement the program through the Maintenance Steering Group-3 methodology.
SmartMaintenanceFast consists of life cycle maintenance processes and products designed to support military aircraft and helicopters.
According to the company, it applied the program to the military's C-5, UH-1N, F-15 and E-8 JSTARS aircraft fleet.
