Harry Raduege, a retired U.S. Air Force general, has been named strategic adviser at San Francisco-based autonomous security software provider NXM Labs.

He will work with the company’s advisory board on strategic planning to bring NXM’s platforms to the market as well as lead efforts to address cyber threats, NXM said Thursday.

Raduege said he will collaborate with NXM and its partners to introduce new autonomous security and data integrity systems built to enable connected devices to ensure the security of confidential data without human intervention.

Raduege’s military career included time as director of the Defense Information Systems Agency; deputy commander for global network operations and defense for Strategic Command; and first commander of the Joint Task Force for Global Network Operations within the Department of Defense.

He co-chaired the commission on cybersecurity of the Center for Strategic and International Studies and served as chairman of Deloitte’s Center for Cyber Innovation after his retirement from military service.
