An L3 Technologies subsidiary has received a five-year contract to offer federal customers access to unmanned undersea vehicle and associated training services through the General Services Administration's Schedule procurement vehicle.
The GSA Schedule allows registered agencies to order and procure L3 OceanServer's UUV platform under pre-set terms and conditions, the company said Thursday.
OceanServer was awarded a contract in December to provide its Iver3 UUV for the U.S. Marine Corps to perform test and evaluation activities. The platform is equipped with a sensor package that includes side scan sonar, inertial navigation system and bathymetry instruments.
L3 said the subsidiary has delivered more than 300 autonomous undersea vehicles to military and commercial customers worldwide since 2003.
