A General Dynamics subsidiary has received a potential $37.2M contract to obtain hardware kits for the U.S. Marine Corps’ light armored vehicle modernization initiative.
General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada will provide 60 LAV kits for the military service to address obsolescence and readiness challenges related to the fleet, the company said Friday.
Each kit will consist of a modern powerpack, a driveline system, a driver’s instrument panel and a turret slip ring.
The company will procure and deliver fully integrated kits for installation on the vehicles at the Marine Corps’ production facilities.
