J. Kevin McLaughlin, a retired U.S. Air Force lieutenant general and former deputy commander of U.S. Cyber Command, has joined the board of directors of McLean, Va.-based government services contractor E3 Federal Solutions.
"I look forward to providing my insights, experiences, and perspectives to the board and helping to drive growth for the company,†McLaughlin said in a statement released Wednesday.
The 34-year USAF veteran currently serves as director of cyber policy, strategy and security at Texas A&M University's George Bush School of Government and Public Service. He entered the military in 1983 and retired in September 2017 after his last assignment as Cybercom's no. 2 official.
Prior to Cybercom, McLaughlin commanded the 24th Air Force and Air Forces Cyber at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in Texas. He also worked for the National Reconnaissance Office and the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
