The Department of Homeland Security is soliciting for a number of small business innovation research projects in support of its Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office and Science and Technology Directorate.
Interested small businesses may submit proposals over the solicitation period that will run through Feb. 12, 2019, DHS said Friday.
The solicitation covers topics in the areas of cybersecurity, explosive detection, unmanned aircraft systems, radiological threats and other security fields of interest to the department.
“The SBIR program allows DHS to engage small business innovators in developing solutions for homeland security challenges,†said William Bryan, DHS’ acting undersecretary for science and technology.
The solicitation topics include:
- Blockchain Applications for Homeland Security Forensic Analytics
- Cybersecurity Peer-to-Peer Knowledge/Lessons Learned Tool
- Detector Integration with Current and Emerging Networked Systems
- ICAM On-the-Fly
- Modeling-based Design of Sensors for Chemical Detection in Complex Environment
- Network Modeling for Risk Assessment
- On Body Power Module for First Responders
- Reach-Back Capability for Fielded Rapid DNA Systems
- Synthetic Training Data for Explosive Detection Machine Learning Algorithms
- Unmanned Aerial System Autonomous Search of Limited Area for Radiological Threats
