CDM Smith has secured a potential $33M contract modification to provide utilities engineering and management services at Naval Facilities Engineering Command installations worldwide.
The company will also provide utility master plans, modeling, life cycle and safety hazard analysis, relay coordination, design, documentation, process development, organizational evaluation, risk assessment, training as well as creation of preventive maintenance plans, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
In addition, CDM Smith will use GPS to develop Geographic Information Systems for utilities as well as come up with staffing plans and best practices.
The modification to a previously awarded indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract brings the contract's total cumulative value to $55M.
Work under the contract modification will run through February 2020 and NAVFAC will fund future task orders using fiscal 2019 operations and maintenance funds.
