The U.S. Army has awarded a two-year, $48.6M contract to Phylway Construction for build efforts supporting the Mississippi River levee.

The service branch obligated the entire amount from operations and maintenance funds for fiscal 2019, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

The company will perform work in New Orleans through Feb. 21, 2021.

The Army Corps of Engineers received six proposals for the firm-fixed-price contract.
