U.S. Army Contracting Command has begun to solicit concept papers for a Department of Defense-sponsored research program that seeks to increase DoD’s knowledge of computing systems and its ability to address future challenges.

The fiscal 2019 DoD Advanced Computing Initiative aims to bring together companies, research institutions, universities and scholars through multidisciplinary projects with the goal of addressing topic areas of interest identified by the department, ACC said Tuesday in a FedBizOpps notice.

The ACI competition seeks research papers in the areas of system concept exploration, hardware and software components, novel computing methodology and algorithms and architectures.

Interested parties have until March 25 to submit concept papers. If selected, an applicant must send a full proposal by May 31.
