The U.S. Army has tested and certified T-Worx Holdings' technology platform that works to transmit data from warfigters' rifles and accessories to military command centers.
T-Worx said Friday its Intelligent Rail technology met criteria for minimizing safety risk to the warfighter during a test the service branch conducted as part of a cooperative research and development agreement with the company.
The memorandum of approval allows the company to support participants the Army's Next Generation Squad Weapons program.
"Anything critical to the modernization of warfighters' weaponry, safety and lives must be tested in an environment similar to where it will be deployed and in consideration of additional Department of Defense use," said Devin Schain, executive chairman at T-Worx.
Intelligent Rail is designed to integrate with weapons and help commanders and soldiers obtain situational awareness in the battlefield.
