Red Hat has updated a software platform that works to help organizations simplify information technology operations that encompass systems, networks, cloud computing and security applications.

Version 3.4 of Ansible Tower allows enterprise users to manage hybrid cloud infrastructure and reuse automation workflows based on IT environments or scenarios.

"We have seen enterprises look to build automation centers of excellence to accelerate automation across a broader set of domains, including compute, network and storage," said Joe Fitzgerald, vice president of management at Red Hat.

Fitzgerald added the new offering works to help users expand the size and scope of automation activities while managing control and visibility of multiple systems.

The latest Ansible Tower version is designed to comply with the National Institute of Standards and Technology's Federal Information Processing Standard that includes cryptographic module security requirements.
