Nutanix CEO Dheeraj Pandey has said federal agencies have been utilizing hyper-convergence and the cloud to meet the rapidly changing customer needs, Federal News Network reported Wednesday.
He said the effort comes as current customer requirements are forcing the government to move into a “highly fragmented infrastructure†that uses a multi-cloud environment to coordinate services, data and people.
“People want to move fast because everything around them, their customers, their consumers and even their adversaries, like the hackers around the world, are moving very fast,†Pandey said on the IT Innovation Insider.
The official also said that hyper-convergence and cloud usage also speed up how users access and manage vast amount of data. The approach brings the “computing power at the click of a button†to run applications, Pandey added.
“At the core of all of this is how do you democratize technology and democratize computing and bring it to anyone at a click of a button,†he said. “That is what hyper-convergence aims to do.â€
