Northrop Grumman plans to establish a new facility and create additional jobs in Albuquerque, N.M., as part of an aerospace market growth push, Albuquerque Journal reported Wednesday.
nn
Leticia Ebb, a Northrop spokeswoman, said the company works to expand operations after its purchase of Orbital ATK through an approximately $9.2B deal, which closed in June last year.
nn
Orbital ATK rebranded as the Falls Church, Va.-based aerospace and defense contractor's innovation systems segment.
nn
Ebb added that Northrop's expansion efforts seek to reflect its ongoing support to U.S. Air Force programs in the region. The company currently supports the Air Force Research Laboratory, Space and Missile System Center’s Advanced Systems and Development Directorate and Space Rapid Capabilities Office.
