Lockheed Martin has received a $52.7M contract modification to provide development, sustainment and engineering services to a U.S. Air Force center responsible for overseeing multiple constellations of spacecraft.
The company will continue to help the military service manage demonstration and experimental satellites and develop, test, evaluate space and missile systems, The Department of Defense said Friday.
Work under the modification will occur at Kirtland AF Base in Albuquerque, N.M.
The branch will use fiscal 2019 “other” procurement funds to pay for contractor services.
Lockheed developed the MMSOC system architecture that went live in January 2011 and uses the company’s Horizon satellite command-and-control framework designed to support space and technology demonstration efforts.
