L3 Technologies has received a $69M contract modification to perform test, inspection and repair work on components of the U.S. Army’s very small satellite communications terminal.

The Department of Defense said Thursday the modification is for AN/TSC-183A Combat Support Service VSAT components and the project is expected to conclude by Sept. 27, 2022.

User-owned and operated CSS VSATs are built to support sustainment information systems and the Global Combat Support System-Army. The branch’s product manager for defense-wide transmission systems provides bandwidth to the terminals.
