DynCorp to Help Coast Guard Maintain C-130 Aircraft - top government contractors - best government contracting eventDynCorp has received a potential five-year, $51.4M contract to provide depot level maintenance and progressive structural inspection for the U.S. Coast Guard‘s C-130H and C-130J aircraft.

Inspection efforts under the contract would aim to verify the aircraft’s airworthiness in accordance with the Aircraft Structural Integrity Program, the company said Monday.

Work will take place in Elizabeth City, N.C., over a one-year base period and continue for up to four more years if all options are exercised.

The USCG uses C-130 aircraft for long-range surveillance, logistics, search and rescue, law enforcement and marine environmental protection activities.

The branch requires inspection of the aircraft every 48 months due to the extreme environments where C-130 units operate.
