Amazon Web Services and ECS have partnered to introduce a file-sharing system built to automate software configuration, hardware provisioning, backup and patching tasks.
ECS said Thursday it will serve as a launch partner for the Amazon FSx for Windows File Server offering that includes features and security functions that some public sector clients use.
The system is designed to operate with Windows-based storage, high-performance computing, electronic design automation and machine learning platforms.
John Sankovich, vice president of cloud solutions at ECS, said the partnership seeks to help customers simplify and manage the process of storing files.
ECS is also an AWS Premier Consulting Partner and offers consulting services via the technology services contractor’s Cloud Center of Excellence. The CCoE will use frameworks and approaches to help Amazon FSx customers meet security requirements and standards.
