The U.S. Air Force has released a request for information on cloud computing, cybersecurity and data science service providers that can support the military branch’s Cyber Operations-Based Rapid Analytics program.

USAF said in a notice posted Tuesday on FedBizOpps it is looking for professional services to support maturation of a data analytics technology used across cyber operations.

The effort seeks to establish procedures for transferring data from the Air Force’s network domain controllers and cyber sensors into an Amazon Web Services and GovCloud environment.

Potential offerors must have the capacity to develop, test and implement data analytics platforms through the Defense Information Services Agency’s Big Data Platform suite used to handle information from the DoD Information Network, which is mostly comprised of open-source software.

Other services include personnel training and the development of cybersecurity controls needed to achieve an authority to operate for the data analytics capabilities.

The COBRA PMO operates under the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Hanscom Air Force Base in Massachusetts.

Interested parties can submit responses through Jan. 18.
