The U.S. Air Force has asked industry to submit white papers that will detail how the service can partner with industry and academia to accelerate the development and transfer of new technology platform between the military and its partners.
Air Force Academy looks to enter into Partnership Intermediary Agreements with small businesses and educational institutions to help the service branch's CyberWorx organization address missions, according to a FedBizOpps notice posted Thursday.
USAFA hopes the collaborations would “stimulate and promote technology development and outbound and inbound transfer of technology between USAFA and academia, industry and federal laboratories.â€
The branch expects selected commercial and academic partners to identify venture capital opportunities, develop commercialization plans and intellectual property assignment methods and explore approaches to integrate emerging technologies into the defense sector.
Interested parties have until Feb. 28 to provide ideas to the service.Â
